I am a competitive tennis player and had been managing chronic ankle pain for two years before seeing Dr. Stein. He identified a cartilage lesion three other surgeons had dismissed. The repair was technically demanding — he explained every detail — and I was back on court in five months. I wish I had found him sooner.

Dr. Stein operated on my Achilles after a significant rupture that two prior surgeons had told me would require a lengthy open procedure with an uncertain outcome. His repair was precise, his post-operative protocol was structured and clear, and I was back to full activity well ahead of schedule. Beyond the surgical skill, the experience of having a doctor who actually listens was something I had stopped expecting.

I honestly don’t have enough superlatives to describe Dr. Stein, Lauren George, or this practice. Top-flight expertise and great bedside manner, with amazing responsiveness and accessibility, are the hallmarks that combine to give me 100 confidence in the diagnosis, surgery, and aftercare I’m receiving. I went for a second opinion and Dr. Stein’s X-ray and keen eye had him order a CT Scan showing 2 major additional broken bones that my first doctor had missed. In less than a week I had the surgery and a week later I’m doing great, the original pain is gone! Can not recommend this practice highly enough.

Dr. Stein is a fantastic doctor. He accurately diagnosed my back issues and came up with a treatment plan that has significantly enhanced my quality of life. What is equally impressive is how well-run the practice is. Very impressive. One of the best experiences I’ve had with a provider.

When I broke my ankle last year, I had 4 separate people mention Dr. Stein as the go to. After meeting him, it was clear that he was who I should see — he knew his stuff and explained my surgery with great detail which I really appreciated. I also appreciated that he understood what I meant when I told him that I needed him to not only fix my ankle, but also to know that I was going to push the ankle and the rest of the body back into extreme fitness sports that I had been doing. Fast forward a year later, I ran my 1st half marathon super fast and have placed in other fitness races. The road to recovery was no joke but thanks to a fabulous surgeon and his team, I’m completely pain-free, have full range of motion, and am in even better shape than where I left off.

The man is simply the best. No other words suffice. Professional, efficient and incredibly brilliant. Thank you, Dr. Stein for helping me get back to tennis after my knee injury.

Dr. Stein is simply the most impressive physician I have ever met. He operated on my Achilles tendon which was destroyed from a lifetime of running and from Haglund’s deformity. After just a few months of recovery I am able to engage in all my former activities without pain. I highly recommend him to runners and athletes.

This is the year anniversary of my ankle replacement surgery and I couldn’t be happier. I was born with club feet, most severe on the left. I had extremely good orthopedic care as a child, but just after college in the summer of 1983, I broke my left ankle badly and ended up with a couple of screws in my ankle joint. Many years later after hiking, biking and skiing on that ankle, it was very stiff and sore. Dr. Stein was my 2nd opinion for the surgery and I’m very glad that I opted to have him do it. I did all of my recovery PT upstairs from his office which was fantastic. I have more mobility in my left ankle than I’ve had in years, and I look forward to continuing an active lifestyle thanks to Dr. Stein.

I highly recommend Dr. Stein. I went to Dr. Stein to get a second opinion on an hip injury that just wasn’t healing. He realized my prior doctor had misdiagnosed my issue and gave me a non-surgical option to treat the injury as a first step. I was thrilled that his non-surgical treatment plan solved my pain and allowed me to get back to running and all around feeling normal again. I would go back to him in a heartbeat if I ever had an orthopedic need again.
